Lilac

The lilac is a decidiuous tree of small stature with intensively sweet-smelling blooms. You can find it usually in gardens. The wood is very hard. In the heartwood it is coloured lively brownish, the broad sapwood is relatively bright. Often you can find violet stripes also. The wood has when you are working with a tenderlilac fragrance. It is good polishable.
