Padouk |
The comprehensive term "padouk" designates different wood species, which all belong to the generic group of Pterocarpus. They belong to the most colorful and technical high-quality woods. The meaning kinds of padouk are all resident in the tropical drying and damp forests of Africa and China. They are mostly small or middle sized trees. Principly one differentiates into two colour groups. Group A has a predominatly reedish core, group B a brownish one. |
