The wood is resident in Africa. There you can find it above all in the southwest, in Congo and in Zaire. The sapwood is pale yellow, the heartwood is brown when it is fresh, later it becomes black-brown. The wood is hard with large pores and a little difficult to be worked on. Pieces of the wood can chip of easily . |
